Jacques Dumarçay (1926 - 2020)
We are sad to announce the death of Jacques Dumarçay, which occurred on November 22, 2020.
Architect and member of the EFEO, Jacques Dumarçay began his career in Afghanistan and Pakistan on the excavations of the Archaeological Mission of the Indus. he participated in major monumental restoration projects and conducted a number of architectural studies. He carried out preliminary studies in 1969 and 1992, for the reconstruction of Vat Phou,
